There are many extensions out there on the web, but the problem is differentiating between the good, the bad and the ugly. Some extensions get high scores on usability, but their code look miserable. Other extensions are programmed with wonderful code just to show a single button. Opinions differ. Extensions are rated differently by different people. We of the Open Source Network found a simple solution to this "rating" problem: We all have to agree.

The following Joomla! 1.5 extensions have been selected by the experts and succeed in most of our demands: The extension needs to be usable and to-the-point; it should be written with clear Joomla! 1.5 code; it should be secure, well supported and documented.

  • JCE editor
  • Phoca Gallery
  • jTags
  • Nookucontent translations
  • SimpleLists
